So Many Victories

My son had maxed out the "special" services of one of the top ten school systems in the country. Then one of the best schools for children with special needs told us they could not help him. Now, after Arrowsmith training, he is in the National Honor Society and finishing High School with an advanced degree. |

He would sit between classes with his hood pulled over his head, and his head in his lap. He never spoke to anyone. Now (after Arrowsmith training) he participates in the school musicals - and, he is funny!

I used to ask my mom to read and edit my emails. After just a few months in the Summer Intensive I can write what I need to say, no editing needed.

I could never answer a question if it was from the text -yesterday I answered more questions than any other student! (this student recently graduated from college with honors)

After 3 years of Orton Gillingham Reading instruction Katie could not read at all. Her well-meaning Grandma sent her a book for Christmas. Katie sat down and read it! She had been participating in Arrowsmith exercises for only 2 months!

Our school required some very heavy reading. I had great difficulty getting John past 3 letter words. The year after we began Arrowsmith Training, we read Oedipus Rex.

There is no way that I could have predicted how much Thom has changed since his Arrowsmith Training. His confidence has blossomed! He is much more sociable, his reading comprehension has grown exponentially! We had planned for him to exist on disability. He now holds down a full time job.

Stewart participated in the Arrowsmith Program when he was in elementary school. While he struggled in school he did pass his classes. After working for 2 years on the Arrowsmith exercises he was placed into the honors track and maintained an A average. Arrowsmith made the difference between Stewart working as a grocery bagger to graduating Summa Cum Laude in electrical engineering.
